Putting animals in their place

Many people round here, whether professional farmer or reclusive elder, talk in one way or another about the pleasure of contact with their animals.  The question is, where do you draw the line?  We think our building was once a longhouse – housing people and animals together.  Our conservatory has been a bit like that recently, being the home of the guinea pigs and Youngest chickens.  Today they had to move on

to the shed yet without a name (how do you keep track of your sheds?) which is now the small animal enclosure.  The Youngest now have space for new pastimes like split the apple
