Today Gribin Isaf remained swathed in the mists – the sun beamed through and cast a yellow light but the white clothing kept its control, stopping the eye lifting to the hills around.
So we look down, to the riches beneath our feet
The ducks see the mist as a challenge to push their boundaries
Today they reach as far as the hen enclosure, where they enjoy skating on ground cover, while the hens look on slightly askance
The rabbit doesn’t really care
and the hen from up the lane can still find its way for a visit
Looking up, it is as if our patch is marooned, like an island – vision stops at our borders
