We awoke to light snow on the ground and slush underfoot. The hens kept to their runs; the pigs, after a quick breakfast, retired back to bed. The ducks are the only creatures that, so far, take all weathers in their stride.
They start each morning with a planning meeting in the smallest of their paddling pools
