One week old – and sold

We continue to be impressed by Dinah’s mothering. After returning from dinner, with added extras:
she gently noses round the litter, as they snooze beside her
(the other two have decided to bury themselves beneath the straw)
When Dinah has recharged her glands she rolls over, gives a small grunt, and…
(the other two are on the bottom layer)
Then after dinner it is off to the corner for relief

A phone call today from a local who had weaners from us last July, together with our specialist Shrewsbury outlet, mean that all these babies have a future “home”

Also today, following an adjustment to avian flu precautions, we return the ducks to the orchard
It is good to have them back in sight and sound of the house.
