Foster Care

After our incubator hatchings so far this year resulted in small cohorts of two and then three ducklings, followed by just three chicks

with each group needing its own accommodation and care plan, we were keen to share the load.

After sitting still for three weeks

Claire ended up with four chicks – our first broody hatching

The incubator trio were one day younger and we didn’t know if it was possible to integrate broods easily. Anyway, yesterday we slipped three extras under Claire and now they are one big happy family

Many thanks to the THREE people who told us that this

is Meadow Vetchling (which was what we thought but it is nice to be interactive)
We now know three of the people who sometimes see our jottings, which is nice)
