One person’s downsizing…

One person’s downsizing is another person’s guest suite.

Our very good friends and inspirationalists at Acorn Ponds are downsizing.

This was their home:
show-wagon

But they are now making a smaller one out of a grain silo, like this one they made earlier
silo

So, as they have done in the past – with pigs, windows, and miscellaneous bits (but thankfully not geese) they today moved their home to Gribin Isaf.

When your mobile home has not been mobilised for a number of years there is always a worry if the wheels will still turn:

and will that turntable still rotate

A tight squeeze out through the hedges at Acorn Ponds

Reversing an articulated chassis onto a low-loader can have its tricky moments

But eventually all is secure

to arrive in Wales

The low-loader will only go as far as the village

so we wait for the highly skilled services of Steve Gittins

who soon gets connected

Unloading (forwards) as less traumatic than loading in reverse

and the journey continues up the road

20180803-29

down the lane

20180803-33

through the farm for general admiration

20180803-39

across the field

20180803-46

through the gates

20180803-54

passing through a specially prepared gap in the hedge

20180803-60

a little bit of toing and froing

20180803-69
20180803-74

and the van is settles on its spot

commanding the top of the meadow
