Accelerated Development

As we come to the end of an exceptionally warm few days it appears that the living things around us have moved on a fortnight.

Water has been precious

and where last week there was blossom, fruits are now forming

The chicks are no longer chicks

and everywhere is abuzz with insect life

which suits the flycatchers, who have just flown in from West Africa

and are busy nest building.

Orange Tips have appeared

along with Peacocks and Tortoiseshells.

The little pond in the the polytunnel

has one resident taking advantage of the insect life there

Flowering plants have been basking in the sun

and even Sycamore can look attractive
